THE SUSSEX BOOK CLUB

So many books are written about Sussex that it’s difficult to keep track of them all.

No longer! Writer/publisher David Arscott founded the Sussex Book Club ten years ago to keep readers abreast of everything that’s being written on a vast range of local themes.

  • Membership is completely free

  • You’ll receive newsletters in Spring and at Christmas with details of new and recent titles available through the club

  • You won’t be sent books you haven’t ordered

  • Books are sent to you free of post & packing charges

  • Our cost-conscious computer will eventually take your name from our mailing list if you never order, but there’s no irksome obligation to buy

HOW TO JOIN

Nothing could be more simple!

Write to us at 51 St Nicholas Lane, Lewes, Sussex BN7 2JZ or send an email to sussexbooks@aol.com

We of course need your name and address, and a telephone number is useful in case there’s ever a query about any of the books you order. Our own telephone number is 01273 470100.

There are absolutely no catches with this book club, and we promise not to give your details to any other organisation.

ARE YOU WRITING OR PUBLISHING A SUSSEX BOOK?

All the major publishers of books on Sussex themes are represented in our newsletters, but we’re always pleased to include the details of one-off titles by first-time authors – family, parish and church histories, memoirs, walks books and so on.

We include the details of new publications absolutely free of charge, so please get in touch with us if you’ve a new title in preparation.

For publishers we operate rather like a bookshop, taking a commission for the sales we make. If you‘ve priced your book properly you’ll find our rates reasonable. We don’t promise huge sales, but we’re a useful additional market for your work.

If you’re at the early stages of the publishing process you might like to purchase our little SELF PUBLISH guide through the book club for just £2.50. For further details see the Pomegranate Press website at http://www.pomegranate-press.co.uk
